February: Seeing More Clearly

As winter continues, the energy of Ajna — the Third Eye Chakra is pulling me in. February often carries a subtle shift: the days slowly lengthen, the light changes, and beneath the surface there’s a sense of something beginning to organize itself. This is a beautiful time to turn inward and notice what’s becoming clearer — not through effort, but through awareness.

Ajna lives at the center of the forehead, between the brows, and is associated with perception, intuition, insight, and inner knowing. Rather than vision in the literal sense, this chakra invites a kind of felt clarity — the ability to sense what’s true, even when words haven’t fully formed yet.

In the craniosacral system, this area is closely connected to the frontal bones, sphenoid, and midline structures of the brain. When these tissues are supported and the nervous system feels settled, people often report a sense of spaciousness behind the eyes, softened mental chatter, or a clearer connection to their intuition. Sometimes clarity arrives not as an answer, but as a quiet confidence in what no longer needs questioning.

February can be a powerful month to rest your eyes, slow your thoughts, and drawing inward; possibly allowing your system to integrate what the darker months have been offering. Head tension, sinus pressure, or mental fatigue can be signs that your system is asking for less input and more listening.

Throughout this month, I’ll be sharing practices to support the head, eyes, and nervous system, encourage midline balance, and invite clarity without force. You may notice moments of stillness, gentle pulsing sensations, vivid dreams, or insights that arise when you’re not actively seeking them.

One way to connect with your third eye could be to try this:

Ajna Rest + Awareness Practice (3 minutes)

  • Possibly lying down or sitting comfortably, allowing your eyes to gently close.

  • Rest one hand lightly on your forehead or just above the brows.

  • Inhale slowly through your nose, sensing the breath and subtle cranial rhythm beneath your hand.

  • Exhale with ease, letting the muscles around your eyes and temples soften.

  • Imagine or sense a quiet spaciousness at the center of your forehead — open, calm, and receptive.

  • Repeat for 8–10 cycles.

Maybe February could be less about figuring things out, and more about trusting what becomes clear when you allow yourself to pause. ✨
